A SERIES of information leaflets about cancer written in a variety of Asian languages has been launched.
Bexley Care Trust has had the Cancer BACUP fact sheets translated after feedback to trust staff showed suitable, culturally sensitive material on cancer was hard to find in Asian languages.
Working with the charity and using cash from the New Opportunities Fund, the leaflets have been produced during Black History Month, in the five most common Asian languages in the borough.
Fact sheets on surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and breast cancer are now available in Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati and Bengali.
