Transport minister Glenda Jackson is to have firm words with Connex South Central bosses who are holding up the redevelopment of Sutton station.
The company is delaying progress on the long-awaited £1.5 million project, which is being partly funded by Sutton Council.
Sutton MP and councillor, Paul Burstow, has been told by Glenda Jackson that she will be pressing the company to "get on with it." He said: "Railtrack have told the minister's office that they will have completed their part of the work by April. But we have yet to hear from Connex."
Spokesman for Connex South Central, David Ewart, said he anticipated work starting mid-year.
