Eleven-year-old Matthew Johnson died on Friday, July 28 at Great Ormond Street Hospital, three days after he was knocked off his bike on the approach to a narrow railway bridge on Nelson Road.
Matthew, of Conway Road, Hounslow, had been a pupil at St Edmund's RC Primary School in Whitton and was due to start secondary school in September.
Floral tributes from his friends and family have been laid at the scene of the accident, which has been described as an accident blackspot.
Richmond Council is now examining the site to see what measures could be introduced to improve visibility and safety on the bridge.
