Nine year-old Ryan Okonkno was the winner of the Green Box Recycling colouring competition.
The council's popular mascot Green Boxer and Councillor Valerie Lamey presented Ryan with a £20 book token last Monday. The Feltham pupil's creation was selected from 79 entries to win best picture. Coun Lamey said: "It is vital that we show younger residents of the borough how important it is to reduce, re-use and recycle the waste they produce. The Green Boxer helps to raise awareness about recycling and waste issues and encourages young people to feel they can make a difference."
