A clock run by methane from rotting rubbish, a toilet and a painting of a fried egg are just some of the exhibits on show at the Riverhouse Barn this month.
The Against The Grain exhibition was organised by East Molesey-based artist, Vic Scott to provide an opportunity for unconventional artists experimenting with unusual techniques in the creation of artworks.
He said: "In London, modern methods are recognised as legitimate art forms but this isn't the case yet in Elmbridge. I want to educate the public about avant garde art."
The exhibition included An Emotional Map of Elmbridge in which Mr Scott has used a map of the borough to create faces representing his perception of each ward.
Mr Scott said: "I only used dots and mouths to create faces from the ward shapes. St George's Hill looks like a snooty accountant with his nose in the air."
