Football Great Wakering 3 - Met Police 3

The Blues made a great start when Jason Prins set up Tegid Jones to drive it convincingly into the far corner of the net.

Lee Cormack followed this up with some individual ball skills and his 20 yard shot flew just wide.

A few minutes later, Prins and Cormack combined well and the latter calmly lobbed the ball into the net.

This gave the police a 2-0 half time advantage. Unfortunately for the visitors the second half was a very different game.

Brilliant

Matthew Fox in the Blues' goal had to make a couple of brilliant fingertip saves but a mistake by two defenders gave Hampshire all the time in the world to fire home from 10 yards.

Almost straight from the kick off Dalgarno blasted in the equaliser.

The game still had a couple of twists to make. George Dunn broke forward and sent Tegid Jones away with a long ball.

Jones checked himself before crossing the ball and Cormack weaved his magic and steered his header into the net.

But the home side came back with a vengeance again and with 15 minutes remaining Dorrell volleyed home a corner.

After leading 2-0, one point was a poor reward.

The Blues will need to perform for the full 90 minutes when they face Welling United at Imber Court in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
