Danny, from Harefield, broke the British record for the biggest fish ever caught in a canal with a 42 pound 12oz mirror carp.
To cheers from many passers-by, Danny reeled the carp in ,, the result of eight years of careful study and planning.
Danny, 34, has held the British record before, when six years ago he landed a 36 pound carp from the same stretch of water.
