Famous black people and their achievements are the inspiration for a display put together by children from Montpelier School in Ealing.
Photographs and cuttings of the children's heroes, including ex-England footballer Ian Wright, South African leader Nelson Mandela and athlete Colin Jackson adorn the walls of the Helena Road school.
And the display inspired years two and six pupils to hold a special assembly presentation on Thursday, when they told their school mates how black people had helped to shape the world.
The activity was part of Ealing's Black History Month ,, a celebration of the borough's cultural heritage.
