February 14, 2001 12:47: Croydon will be going snooker loopy on Thursday, February 27 when Fairfield stages the prestigious World Snooker Trickshot Championship, writes Ziad Chaudry.
Now entering its 10th year, this will be the first time the showcase for the world's finest trickshot entertainers has been held in Croydon.
The trickshots competition is played out in front of a live audience with the emphasis firmly on fun. Poland's Bogdan Wolkowski, champion for the last two years, will face the challenge of Steve Davis, Dennis Taylor, Ray Reardon, John Virgo and Mike Massey.
