One of the few truly eccentric bands (that tank which they sold to Billy Joel, I think, that great single with the record breaking number of 'F-words' and the Welsh-language LP) are now on a major label and have produced a commercial, in places, homage to Sgt Pepper and Pet Sounds a psychedelic-lite masterpiece.

Sidewalk Serfer Girl has great ELO backing vocals, Receptacle For The Respectable has some cunning changes of pace and shows them at their more psychotic while Shoot Doris Day is maudlin and magnificent.

The LP comes with a DVD release, films, videos, art shows, a circus, the launch of a new brand of cola, the invasion of the Isle of Wight and a Technics Mercury Music Prize nomination which they may just walk off with.
