PASSENGERS who use buses to travel between Lewisham and Victoria are benefiting from a cleaner environment.
Vehicles operating on the 185 route are cleaned four times a day, instead of the old system of once a day.
The new system, which started last month, is part of the £200m BusPlus programme aimed at making buses safer, more reliable and comfortable.
BusPlus programme director Cynthia Grant said: "This is just the start of ongoing improvements for passengers."
