The spotlight turned to the third round of the EHA Cup last weekend and there were giant-killing performances by two South Premier Division One sides.
Wimbledon had a 4-1 home victory over National League Division Two side Blueharts thanks to goals from John Neill, Andrew Cruikshank, Reginald Anthony and Gareth Nicholls.
Meanwhile, Old Georgians beat NL Division Two opposition East Grinstead 3-1, with goals from Alun Kelly (two) and James Tindall. OGs beat the same opposition 7-2 at this stage of the cup last season.
NL Premier Division side Surbiton were made to work rather harder than expected at Division One Lewes, but emer-ged 4-3 winners, with goals from Grant Fulton, Matt Daly (two) and Stuart Head.
But Teddington made easier work of Division One joint leaders St Albans, with James Mulcair and James Webber (two) scoring without reply.
The draw for the fourth round (to be played November 25) is Bowdon v Old Georgians; Sheffield Hallam v Teddington; Surbiton v Guildford; Wimbledon v Stourport.
In South Premier Division One last Saturday, Wimbledon lost 2-1 at home to leaders Richmond and Old Georgians lost 2-1 away to Eastcote.
Old Cranleighans stay bottom after their 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Chichester.
Oxted stay top of South Premier Division Two with a 4-2 win at Ashford, while Spencer go third with 6-3 win at Tunbridge Wells. Epsom drew 4-4 at Gore Court.
In the Hampshire/Surrey League there were wins for London Edwardians (2-1 at Barnes), Wanderers (2-0 at Old Mid Whitgiftians) and London Wayfarers (2-0 at home over Bournemouth).
In Surrey Division One, NPL Lensbury beat Walton & Weybridge 4-3, London University drew 2-2 at home with Goan, Bank of England 1-1 at Thames Valley, and Met Police lost 5-2 to Croydon MO.
In Division Two, Cheam beat Horley 4-0 and Merton beat Kenley 3-1.
