ROCK band Glorious are set to play a charity gig to raise money for the Haven House Foundation children's hospice.
Steve Garton, landlord of the Three Blackbirds in Leyton High Road, is making the pub available free of charge on Friday, November 23.
The band is keen to raise lots of money to help Haven House Foundation to raise the £280,000 it needs to pay Waltham Forest Council the balance of its lease on the Woodford Green mansion, which it is converting into a hospice.
Admission to the charity night will be free, but the audience will be asked to make voluntary donations.
Band members hope the gig will inspire other East London bands to dedicate a night to Haven House.
Previous shows at the Three Blackbirds have proven so popular with Saturday night crowds that Glorious now has a regular monthly booking.
The band specialises in playing members' own arrangements of popular rock music from the 1960s to the present day, as well as original sings like Little Lost Sometimes, Darling Me, Skyliner and Still.
