A STUNNING Petts Wood girl has beaten more than 10,000 others to make it into the final 50 of ITV's Pop Idol.
Branded as a "bubbly blonde page three girl" by Pop Idol judges, Carla Winters, 22, of Crofton Lane, Petts Wood, is bursting with excitement for Saturday's clash.
Former model and Bridget Bardot look-a-like, Miss Winters will be praying viewers vote for her after she sings her rendition of Aretha Franklin's Say A Little Prayer.
Self-confessed wild child Miss Winters never worked hard at school, but has always had a love of dance, drama and singing.
She has been singing since she was five and attended Bright Sparks Drama School, in Chislehurst. She now teaches drama, dance and speech at Helen O'Grady's Drama School, Elgin Road, Croydon, as well as being in a rock and pop band called Choice.
She will be competing with nine other hopefuls on Pop Idol on Saturday at 6pm. The results will be announced at 9.55pm.
