Mitcham: The Met is appealing for witnesses after a man died in what has been described by police as an "indiscriminate" and "vicious" attack.
36-year-old Sellathhuri Balasingham was murdered in Pollards Hill, Mitcham, at 11pm on Tuesday November 6.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said it is believed he was chased by two or three men and then hit on the head a number of times with a blunt instrument.
He was taken to Mayday Hospital in Croydon, were he later died of his injuries.
