THE RSPCA has brought prosecutions to three dog owners for causing unnecessary suffering to their pets.
Sarah and Graham Vandort, of Woodhill, Woolwich, were found guilty at Greenwich Magistrates' Court last Thursday (November 8) of causing unnecessary suffering to their dog, a Dalmatian, and failing to provide proper care and attention.
Mrs Vandort, aged 37, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £150 costs, while Mr Vandort, aged 36, was fined £200 and ordered to pay £250 costs. Both were banned from keeping dogs for two years.
Michael Bushell, aged 51, of Whetstone Road, Kidbrooke, was found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering, by failing to control his own dog, which attacked a Yorkshire terrier.
He was found guilty in his absence, sentencing was adjourned, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
