A MAN with distinctive waist-length dark brown hair has attempted to grab a girl off the street in Erith.
The 10-year-old was walking along Colyers Lane just after 5.30pm on November 4.
She reached the entrance to the rear alleyway which provides access, behind the houses, for cars, when she hear a man's voice calling out to her.
She stopped and looked into the dark alleyway and the man came out of the shadows and grabbed her by the arm, trying to drag her into the darkness.
The girl fought back, kicking the man several times which forced him to loosen his grip and she ran away. Although she was shocked, she was not hurt.
Police are now appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or who recognises the man's description, to call them.
He was white, in his 30s with a deep voice. He was wearing a waist-length blue Nike jacket, white Nike trainers and dark trousers.
If you can help, call Sergeant Paul White on 020 8284 9131.
