A CELEBRATION of Christmas will be held in the town hall, in Woolwich.
The mayor's Christmas carol concert will be held on Friday, December 14, in the Victoria Hall and will include performances by the Greenwich youth band and the Woolwich New Testament Church of God gospel choir.
The proceeds from the concert will be given to mayor Councillor Terry Malone's charities, which this year are a playground at the Greenwich and Bexley Hospice and funding for beds for parents to stay overnight with their sick children at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Tickets for the event cost £7.50. For details, call Alison Payne at the mayor's office on 020 8921 5023.
