Football: A glorious 87th minute goal from Kevin Richards gave Old Rutlishians a 4-3 win in their League Cup tie at Notvry Athletic. Midfielder Jeremy Capper was forced to go in goal after Keith Bird was injured in the first half but he managed to save a penalty. Both sides were reduced to 10 men in the first half Dave Cundy being dismissed for a foul in the box. Ruts other goals came from Lee Poulter (2) and an own goal.
Rugby Union: Old Rutlishians stormed to a 74-7 win at Old Walcountians in Surrey One on Saturday. Ruts never looked back from the first minute when Graham Blenman touched down in the corner.
Hockey: Wimbledon maintained their push for promotion from Division One with a narrow victory over Woking. Vicky Browne scored the only goal of the game from a 28th minute penalty corner to keep the Dons one point clear of Trojans at the top.
Football: Mayfair United reached the last 16 of the London FA Sunday Senior Cup with a 5-1 win at Maribb. Victor Williams, Ryan Gray, Sean Campbell and Neil Parkinson (2) were on target.
Football: Merton Women were beaten 3-0 by title-chasing Camberley in last weekends crunch league match.
