Hendon roofer Michael Kadar, who flew into a drunken rage at his local pub after being refused service, walked out of court with a probation order last week.
Kadar, 37, of Nicoll Place, pleaded guilty to headbutting and slapping Peter Golding, the landlord of the Midland Hotel in Station Road, Hendon, on July 17 this year, when he appeared before Hendon Magistrates Court on Friday last week.
The father-of-four also admitted causing £140 of damage, by throwing bar stools around the pub and smashing a sweet machine, following the attack on Mr Golding.
Sentencing Kadar to a 12-month community rehabilitation order, district judge Clive Wiles told him: "Any act of violence is to be deplored. When this occurred, the fact that you were blind drunk is no excuse."
He was also ordered to pay £340 compensation to Mr Golding for the damage and the attack, and £50 court costs.
