Blackheath Rugby Club's under-10s achieved a unique treble, winning the prestigious Rugby Festival for the third consecutive year.
During the course of a tiring day, which began for most before 6am, the mini section of the club travelled to the Midlands to compete in the 10th playing of the Rugby Lions' Festival.
In achieving their success, the under-10s, who received generous sponsorship towards the cost of their travel from the Clarendon Hotel, in Blackheath, scored 20 tries (100 points) and, remarkably, conceded did nto concede any!
This ensured their position at the top of their age group, which also featured teams from the host club, Worcester and Leamington.
Also successful were the under-9 and 12 squads, who both won their groups to ensure a great day out for the Blackheath Minis!
Lewis Coaches sponsored the trip by reducing the cost of the coach.
The under 10s squad comprised of: standing (left to right in picture): Alex Gallagher,
Elliot Price, Liam Gray, Alfie Sawyer, Harry Allen, Ricardo Anjos. Front: Josh Smith, Jamie Stevenson, Sam Morris, Sam Elliot, Michael Ubee and James Hibberd.
