GURU Nanak Sunday, of the North Kent Sunday Premier League, were involved in what must be the game of the season against fellow Premier League side Vigo in the 2nd round of the Kent Sunday Senior Cup, winning 5-4 win in extra-time in what was a rollercoaster of a match.
Vigo lead 1-0 after 10 minutes but Gurus soon equalised through Jag Tirwana's header.
Vigo then scored again to lead 2-1 at half-time but Jas Bhens then equalised midway through the second half, only for Vigo to go ahead for the lead for a third time before Balbir Biela levelled again five minutes from time with a superb chip over the goalkeeper.
Five minutes from the end of extra-time, Vigo scored to lead for the fourth time but, astonishingly, Biela netted a fourth equaliser.
With the game seeingly destined for a replay, a Jess Gill corner found Biela, who slotted home his hat-trick and the Gurus' match-winner.
But it was a rather a different story for both Gurus' Saturday teams.
The first team lost 3-1 to fellow Kent County Division Three League rivals Town Malling United in the 2nd round of the West Kent Shield Cup.
Boota Singh got the Gurus' goal straight from the restart after going a goal down and they ought to have taken the lead after the break when Tiwana was hacked down in the box. But Jess Gill hit his spot kick-wide and the Gurus paid the penalty by then conceding two goals.
The reserves also lost 3-1 as they crashed out of the Kent Cup in their 2nd round replay to Drummond Athletic of Sidcup when Jindy Banwait goal was all they had to show for their rather lacklustre effort.
