Ambitious: congregants from 14 different High Barnet churches enjoyed the fruits of their labour on Saturday night, after copying out the whole of St Mark's Gospel by hand. The Rev David Nash (pictured), vicar of St Mary's Church in Monken Hadley, said hundreds had been involved in the ambition project since the spring. The gospels, unveiled at a thanksgiving service in Wesley Hall, Stapylton Road, have been bound in book form thanks to a £300 donation from Hadley Green Garage, High Street, Barnet Photo: PETER BEAL
