BBHC ladies' 2nd XI played Herne Bay at Canterbury on Saturday, and from the first whistle applied the pressure and had some early chances to go into the lead.
Some great runs from Amanda Pigg and Debbie Jones created spaces in the Herne Bay defence and BBHC took the lead after 10 minutes with a great individual effort from Pigg.
Herne Bay responded well and a lucky break enabled them to level, but Jones then restored BBHC's lead.
Five minutes after the break, Jones gave BBHC a two-goal cushion.
An injury to the captain, Fiona McCrossan left BBHC to play with 10 and a goal close to the final whistle from Herne Bay came too late to enable them to save ther game.
