Addiscombe 4 bt HAC 3
A tight game saw Addiscombe take all three points in this meeting at Trinity school on Saturday to keep their place at the top of Surrey Division Two.
With little space for either side to exploit, the match became a battle of the midfields.
The Croydon team took the lead midway through the first half when player-coach Keith Yeates pushed home from the middle of the D.
Addiscombe then increased their lead from another short corner when Chris Reid helped Yeates's flick into the HAC net.
Addiscombe's defence was breached just before the break to leave the home team 2-1 up.
The second half started with Reid and Allison causing HAC serious problems and it was Reid who forced a short corner before calmly slotting home.
HAC forced a series of short corners and levelled with two in quick succession.
Addiscombe searched for a winner and time seemed to be running out until Yeates scored his second.
Addiscombe 2 bt Walton & Weybridge 1
Addiscombe met Division One Walton in the first round of the Surrey Vase on Sunday.
With Andy Allison and Chris Reid looking dangerous on every attack and Martin Stevens making intelligent runs, Addiscombe always looked more likely to open the scoring.
The breakthrough came when Reid's persistence forced an opening on the right and the cross was met by Stevens, sending the home side into half-time with a 1-0 lead.
Walton equalised with an early short corner but Addiscombe continued to attack and their winner came after Van der Willnard sent an unstoppable shot into the corner of Walton's net.
The men's second XI travelled to NPL-Lensbury and earned a valuable point in a 4-4 draw with only 10 players.
Addiscombe's goal scorers were Danny Clark, Rob Butlin and Aussie Scott Antony, who bagged a double.
Addiscombe Ladies first XI faced Wimbledon 3s in their league match at Biggin Hill and had to settle for a share of the points in a 1-1 draw.
Addiscombe took the lead after 10 minutes when Michelle Glaister scored from a short corner but Wimbledon equalised midway through the second half.
The undefeated second XI continued their good league form with a convincing 2-0 win away at Wanderers 5's. Louise Dalton took her season's tally to nine whilst Di Thomas scored her first for the club.
