ARTHUR Reader has been named the third most eccentric man in Britain for his collection of 115 postboxes.
The electrician from Wargrave Road, Harrow has travelled the length and breadth of the country in his 10-year quest to build up his unrivalled collection.
"People collect stamps, coins and newspapers why not postboxes?" said the 46-year-old fanatic.
"I rescue postboxes which aren't wanted anymore and have them in every room in my house and the garden."
The father-of-three dreams of getting his hands on a rare Edward VIII box and then opening a museum to display his collection.
The awards, created by Kelloggs and PR Company Red, honour people all over the country who carry out the most absurd tasks.
Lyndon Yorke, who sails his Edwardian tricycle converted into a catamaran on the Thames, was named as the country's No.1 eccentric.
