LAST SUNDAY Bishop's Stortford Running Club had a resounding success in the first match of the Run-In cross-country league, hosted by Ware Joggers at Wodson Sports Centre.
Bishop's Stortford took the team top spot with just 95 points, a massive 56 points ahead of second-placed Harlow (151 points).
The Stortford members who counted for the men were Alasdair Bruce, Richard Clarke, Tom Offord, Dave Carr, Brian Glazebrook, Chris Tate and Tim Webb. The women's counting finishers were Jayne Shepherd, Fiona Sutherland and Emma Nixon.
This Sunday, November 18, will see the 18th running of the Stortford 10-mile road race. Entries will be accepted on the day at St Mary's School, Windhill from 8am, with the race starting at 10am. Entry on the day costs £8 and all finishers will receive a long-sleeved tee-shirt.
