Colney Heath A3
(Herts Junior Cup) WITH no fixture for Bishop's Stortford Swifts' first team, it was left to the reserves to take centre stage.
This they did in some style as they cruised into the fourth round of the Herts Junior cup thanks to an 8-3 victory over Colney Heath, with goals from six different players.
From the start of the clash the Swift's appeared to be cruising to a comfortable victory and had gone in at half time 4-0 up.
Although a spirited display by the visitors after the break saw them reduce that lead to 5-3, the home side staged a grandstand finale in the final 15 minutes, where they added a further three goals.
The Swifts' first team are back in action this Saturday when they entertain Old Parmiterians in the Herts Intermediate Cup.
