ENFIELD- BASED race ace Malcolm Wise finished runner-up in the season-long Ford Saloon Car challenge when he clinched second place at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk in his 300 horsepower Ford Sapphire Cosworth.
This hot contest for modified cars of over two-litre engines has seen the Green Belt Motor Club chairman finish near the front throughout the season.
In the 16 race series he has been second in four other meetings and all of his other 11 finishes were in the top five.
The three race Winter Series for Ford Saloon Cars is next on the agenda and Wise has high hopes of seeing his name at the top of the field back at Snetterton and Brands Hatch over the next three weeks.
