Rosslyn Park coach Kent Bray was proud of his team despite a 25-8 defeat at Rosslyn Park.
Park had a long list of players unavailable while Orrells millionaire backers latest acquisition is Great Britain rugby league star Gary Connolly.
But Bray said: Every single man stood up to be counted out there no coach could ask for any more.
Skipper Jim Hayes led from the front, constantly using his body as a battering ram against the Orrell defence.
When Matt Dowse lofted over a penalty from the 10 metre line in the 22nd minute, Park were well worth the 3-0 lead but, not surprisingly, Orrell turned the match round.
However James Justice pulled a try back for Park near the end to cap his birthday weekend.
