A PAIR of hikers have appealed for help in meeting the cost of an eight-day trek through gruelling desert terrain.
Jacob Kirk and James Nunn will be doing the Sahara Hiking Challenge for the McMillan Cancer Relief Fund next March. They need to raise £1,900 each for the trip, most of which has to be in by January.
Snow-boarding enthusiast Mr Kirk, 24, of Darnley Road, Gravesend, said: "This is a different type of challenge, having to cope with extremes of temperature, scorpions and spiders. We would be grateful for any assistance we can get."
