I would like to respond to the letter entitled Terrorists have no place in our world, (News Shopper, October 31).
You may as well have added "except in Scotland", as the writer suggests.
I agree this world has gone from bad to worse and we should be harder on criminals but the suggestion of sending them to islands in Scotland is outrageous.
Scotland has more than its fair share of criminals and does not need any more rubbish dumped on its doorstep.
It may come as a surprise to the writer but Scots have the right to live without fear just like everyone else. Scotland is not a penal colony.
Removing them from the world does not mean dumping them in another country and forgetting about it.We have to face it head on.
This typical attitude is what separates this country when we should be united
