With regard to the new household refuse rule, I used to be a dustman some years ago.
Whatever fancy name they give themselves today, they are still dustmen, but to get to the point, when I did that job we worked for our wages. There weren't any of these wheelie bins they use now but we still did a better job than they do now.
We used to carry the bins out on our backs and made sure the bins were empty. Nowadays, they often leave some rubbish in the bottom of the bin. We pay all these extra council taxes and now we are expected to half the dustman's job for them.
I think it's right out of order. In my opinion, they want money for nothing because they are just too damn lazy and frightened to get their hands dirty.
Whatever your job, be it posh or plain, you should do it to the best of your ability for your own and everyone's benefit.
