I would like to know why the News Shopper no longer publishes Bromley's public notices.
These notices gave us a chance to see what was happening in our area.
Without getting the opportunity to view notices, planning applications are being made with little or no opposition simply because people are not aware of them. An example of this is the planning application made by the Dural Uloom School, in Foxbury Avenue, Chislehurst.
The school is applying to develop a massive extension incorporating a Mosque. How many people know about this? Without public notices being available I as a resident of Bromley, am being denied my democratic right to voice my opinion.
The News Shopper reaches a great number of households and as such should be the paper in which these notices appear. How many more applications have we missed?

We realise more people would see public notices if they were published in the News Shopper rather than elsewhere.
But, unfortunately, it's a council decision not to have them published and we have no control over this decision.
Sorry, but you'll have to ask the council for an explanation.
