(London League North)UNTIL the scoreline reached 12-3 this game was dominated by a succession of erratic kicks downfield.
The visitors were shown too much of the ball but spurned their chances while Richardson, Eacott and Bangahan finished moves that emerged from the Woodford pattern.
OA's soon mounted a period of pressure to reduce the arrears to 12-11, but it was Woodford who turned out to be the more reliable, with an Eacott penalty putting them into a four-point lead.
Good defence from the home side nullified the attacks and Woodford were able to exert pressure in the right corner for Greatorex to cross the line to leave a half time score of 20-11.
After the sides turned round the game see-sawed for a while but eventually Woodford fought fiercely against the OA's to engineer a passing move which set Goude off to score in the corner, 25-11.
Woodford were now on top, with Eacott getting another penalty but OA's sneaked a try on the left, 28-16.
Woodford finished their scoring when Sheppard had a try from a lineout, converted by Eacott, 33-16. Finally, OA's converted a try from a forward drive to leave the score a highly entertaining 33-23.
