Nurses and health workers struggling to get a foot on the property ladder are being invited to find out more about starter home initiatives at a roadshow next week.
As much as £8 million has been allocated by the Housing Corporation to help 284 nurses in Sutton and seven other south London boroughs afford a home.
Representatives from the Moat Housing Group will be on hand at the Carew Room in St Helier Hospital next Thursday, November 22, to answer questions. Sessions will run at 11am, 1pm and 2.30pm.
The initiative gives health workers two options.
One is to buy 75 per cent of the property and use a 25 per cent interest-free equity loan to pay for the rest.
The alternative is to purchase a smaller share, such as 25 or 50 per cent, and pay rent on the remaining percentage.
Those unable to attend the roadshow can call 07002 662 846 or log on to info@moat.co.uk
