For some, three parties might seem a little over the top, but for May Vincent there was plenty to celebrate.
Turning 100 this week for the great-great-grandma not only meant a treasured letter from the Queen, but two parties at local day centres and another with five generations of her family.
May, who lived on the St Helier Estate for 60 years, is in fantastic health, according to granddaughter Barbara Lane.
"She used to like knitting and crocheting and is still really sprightly," she said.
