Harry Potter mania hit Sutton last weekend when over 6,000 fans packed Sutton's UCI cinema to watch a preview of the film.
But the children's adventure story is not relying on the blockbuster movie for making profit. Harry mania already has a firm grip on Sutton's shops, leaving its mark on almost every store in the High Street.
Even Marks and Spencer is having to cater to the high demand for the official merchandise.
It is supplying pretty much every item you can imagine for Harry enthusiasts, including stationary, calendars, frames and bubble bath.
A spokesman from Allders in Sutton said: "We are running low on some of the Harry Potter goods but we are getting re-stocked frequently with Christmas coming up."
The film adapted from the bestseller book by JK Rowling centres around a voyage of self-discovery for an orphaned boy who realises he is the world's most famous wizard.
UCI ticket sales country-wide managed to pull in a whopping £1 million revenue this weekend drawing in 215,000 fans.
Harry Potter is on general release from Friday November 16.
