Harry Potter, Fred Flintstone, Annie and Cinderella will be just some of the characters to parade down Sutton High Street to get the town in the festive mood.
Pupils from Robin Hood Junior School and the Carshalton Cheerleaders will be among those taking part in the Christmas event on Sunday.
The characters will begin their walk from St Nicholas Road at 1pm and head to the bottom of the High Street before reaching the Town Square where Santa and his little helpers will disembark.
Actor John Bardon, who plays Jim Branning in hit TV show EastEnders, will also be in the square from 3.30pm to 3.45pm to sign autographs and switch on the lights at 4.45pm.
