Kingston Primary Care Trusts commitment to employing disabled people was officially recognised with the presentation of the Disability Symbol Award last Friday, November 9.
The symbol is a nationally recognised award which helps organisations inform the people they employ, and other disabled people who might be interested in working for them, of the positive approach they have to people with disabilities.
Janet Kells, chief executive of the trust, said: We are proud to receive this award and hope other employers will follow our example and be positive about people with disabilities.
