If you like good observational humour then this Saturday, the Bearcat Comedy Club, Twickenham, is the place for you.
Headlining a fantastic line-up this weekend is Dominic Holland but don't let the fact he has written scripts for Des O'Connor or gags for Bob Monkhouse put you off.
Described as being full of insecure charm, Dominic first strikes you as someone you would meet not at a comedy club but somewhere much more insular. But once he overcomes his initial shyness and relaxes he will keep you in stitches as he brings you up to date with what is happening in his life.
And his style of delivery is so relaxed, even though you know he is doing a stand-up routine, you cannot help feeling everything he says about his life is true.
One of his main obsessions is his physical appearance which he constantly derides moaning about uncontrollable hair and a nose to weak to keep his glasses on.
Dominic first shot to fame when he won the Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Festival and since then he has been a regular fixture on the comedy circuit as well as numerous TV and radio appearances.
These include his own Radio 4 series The Small World Of Dominic Holland. But not only is he a very funny comedian, he has acted and recently published his first book, Only In America.
These days he is normally found at the larger clubs on the circuit so this is the perfect opportunity to see him in an intimate club setting to which, many critics say, his humour is best suited.
On the night he is going to be joined by Duncan Oakley, Barry Hall, Phil Butler and Ian Royce so it should be a great night out.
