I would like to reply to the writer of the letter in the Guardian, November 1.

I have worked hard all my life, made provision for my retirement and would like to be able to enjoy some of it in my garden. The foxes dig up my plants and lawn and leave a disgusting mess.

Surely gardens should have a pleasant smell. Mine does not smell pleasant, it smells of foxes.
