The Duchess of Gloucester
attended a ceremony to mark the long-awaited revamp of Maple Infants School, in Surbiton, on Wednesday.
The project, which involved major re-modelling of the school grounds and buildings, has taken two and a half years.
Head teacher Jean Cutts said: We were delighted that the Duchess accepted our invitation to celebrate the remodelling of the school. It made the occasion a very memorable one.
