A 21-year-old Norwegian woman visiting England ended up needing restorative surgery after another woman smashed a beer glass in her face.
The attack happened in the ladies' toilets at Scruffy Murphy's, a late licensed pub in Sutton High Street, on Thursday, November 1, just before midnight.
The Norwegian, who was with a friend, was first harassed by the two suspects, both aged around 20.
They followed her into the toilet where she is understood to have been struck around the face with a glass. She emerged clutching her bleeding cheek.
Doctors at St Helier Hospital transferred her to St George's in Tooting where she received minor restorative work to her face. She was discharged on the same day.
The suspects are both white and around 5ft 5ins. One is slim with shoulder-length curly brown hair and the other has shoulder-length blond hair.
Acting Detective Constable Greg Appleton, who is leading the investigation, said: "The pub was open until 2am and it was quite busy. We would like to talk to anyone who may know something."
