WANSTEAD MP Harry Cohen has received assurances from Whipps Cross University Hospital that it is doing all it can to minimise the incidence of the MRSA super bug in the hospital.
The lethal antibiotic resent bacteria is present in all hospitals to a greater or lesser extent, and Whipps Cross chief executive Peter Coles has told Harry Cohen that the latest figures for the hospital show a reduction in the deadly bug.
Mr Coles told Mr Cohen: "We have strengthened our Infection Control Team significantly and I am therefore confident that we will be able to maintain our position."
