Parking restrictions in the Norbury railway station area are to be stepped up after local residents and businesses complained about commuters parking outside their homes.
The new, larger Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) will now include Bishops Park Road, Croindene Road and Upwood Road and will operate from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. Residents and businesses in the road can purchase yearly parking permits from the council.
Councillor Gerry Ryan, cabinet member for planning and transportation, said: "We decided to take this action because residents were coming to us complaining that they were struggling to find a parking space in their road.''
