A TEENAGER who was attacked as she worked in a Plumstead newsagent, may not return to her job.
The 16-year-old was working in the Fords Newsagents at The Slade, Plumstead, when two men walked into the shop at 1.05pm. They went to the counter to buy a tin of beans, when one of them sprayed her in the eyes causing her to lose her sight temporarily and the other threw the tin at her head.
A 70-year-old man, who came into the shop blacked out after being sprayed in the face and knocked to the ground. The attackers took cash from the till and ran into Kirkham Road.
The teenager and customer were taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup for treatment.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Nigel Tolson appealed for information from anyone who was in the area at the time."
The youths are aged between 17 and 19. One was black 6ft, with a light moustache and wore a three-quarter length blue jacket. The other was white, wore a cream/white hooded top.
