Bromley failed to get the results they deserved in a National League double header at the weekend.
On Saturday, they suffered a 3-2 defeat by Hounslow and then followed up on Sunday with a 3-3 draw against East Grinstead.
Howes and skipper Rick Coope twice levelled for Bromley at Hounslow before Nick Bluett received a yellow card, and the numerical advantage allowed Hounslow the chance to force a match-winning goal 10 minutes from time.
Against East Grinstead, Bromley went one better than against Hounslow by coming from bend on three ocassions!
Nick Bluett, a penalty from Warren, and a last-minute strike, again by Bluett, earned Bromley a deserved draw.
But the team feel that would have won had the umpire not made a crucial error.
Two East Grisntead players, one of whom was a substitute, were sin-binned but 10 remained on the pitch as play continued.
This weekend, Bromley travel to Indian Gymkhana for a league game and then on Sunday entertain the country's leading club, Reading, with many international players, in the HA Cup 4th round. The game starts at 1pm at the Priory Leisure Centre in Orpington.
Meanwhile, Bromley's under-18 boys found themselves in their toughest test of the season against Chelsmford.
But too many defensive errors and missed short corners meant that all Bromley had to show for their efforts was a consolation goal from Nick Warrington in a 5-1 defeat.
Bromley' under-16 girls overwhelmed newly-formed Meopham 22-0 in the Kent League. The under 16s girls also had to play Oxted in the Home Counties League, winning 8-2.
