I COULD hardly believe your report on a new mobile IT unit for Redbridge and Waltham Forest Health Authority, funded by the Government.
In the same week you report the financial struggle the Haven House volunteers face in establishing a children's hospice in Waltham Forest, and the anguish of a Redbridge woman whose schizophrenic sons have committed suicide.
Apparently, the health authority feels that the care her second son received was "entirely appropriate".
It beggars belief that the Government feel that a mobile IT unit can somehow satisfy the need for care of elderly, disabled and unemployed people in the boroughs. Am I the only reader to feel astonished?
