MOURNERS packed Hither Green Cemetery for the funeral of Jeremy Parks, killed in Colombia.
The 28-year-old graphic designer from Bromley was laid to rest after a humanist service attended by dozens of fellow backpackers.
Jeremy was caught in cross-fire between government troops and the National Liberation Army (ELN) rebel group, after being taken hostage while travelling through the Choco region of the South American country.
The ELN had pulled him from a bus somewhere between Quibdo and Medillin, north west of the capital Bogota, but were ambushed by the army.
Speaking to the News Shopper two weeks ago his father Reg said the family was devastated.
Music from the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was played as mourners gathered for the service last Thursday.
